Brewers Activate Illinois LHP Wade Miley, OF Jesse Winker

The Milwaukee Brewers returned lefty Wade Miley from the 15-day disabled list and outfielder Jesse Winker from the 10-day IL on Saturday.

Miley was sidelined in a game against the St. Louis Cardinals on May 16 with a torn left latissimus dorsi muscle.

The 36-year-old veteran has started eight games this season, going 3-2 with a 3.67 ERA. Miley has been with eight teams in 13 seasons, has played in 300 career games (293 starts), and is 102-96 with a 4.12 ERA.

Winker, 29, was placed on the injured reserve list on May 30 with a spinal cord injury.

204 in 108 at-bats in 39 games this season, no home runs, and only three extra base hits. Winker is a career hitter who has played in 588 games for the Cincinnati Reds (2017-21), Seattle Mariners (2022) and Brewers in seven major league seasons, batting .267 with 80 homers and 256 RBIs.

Also on Saturday, the Brewers optioned right-hander Tyson Miller to Triple-A Nashville and selected first baseman John Singleton.
