Check out Austintown Animal Shelter’s new fundraiser

youngstown, ohio (WKBN) – More than 11 bands played the inaugural PAWZ Fest at the Westside Bowl on Saturday.

All proceeds will go to All About the Pawz in Austintown.

The animal shelter has hosted events at the Westside Bowl in the past, but they hope to host an even larger benefit concert next year.

“There are a lot of dogs in need of medical attention right now,” said volunteer Angi Westhead.

“There’s been a lot of abuse these days, so we’re taking in dogs that have been dragged behind cars, starved or abandoned at home,” she said.

The shelter also needs volunteer dog walkers and foster parents.
