Crew responds after cicada catches fire on I-75 SB

Dayton, Ohio (WDTN) — Firefighters responded to a major interstate highway after a semi truck caught fire on Saturday.

The Vandalia fire brigade responded to the southbound lane of Interstate 75 near Northwoods Boulevard, according to the Dayton Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol. in Vandalia.

When the crew arrived at the scene, they found one person in the vehicle. No injuries have been reported following the reported fire.

Dayton OSP said the cause behind the fire was believed to be a short circuit in the battery, which spread and ignited.
