Dayton, Ohio (WDTN) — Dayton Public Schools will soon begin the search for a new superintendent.
Superintendent of Education Dr. Elizabeth Lori Dispatched letter Last week, I went to the district to reflect on her six years as superintendent.
Her current contract expires on July 31, 2023. Her letter indicates she will be leaving at the end of her contract.
Dr. Lolli has been the DPS Superintendent of Education since 2018. He has also held various positions, from classroom teacher and curriculum he director to assistant principal. In addition, Dr. Lorry has been named the 2022 Ohio Superintendent of Education.
“Serving the children and staff of this community has been the honor of my career,” Dr. Lolli wrote. “Work and relationships will always be dear to my heart. I wish everyone well and will forever be a Daytonian.”
The school board’s next meeting is tonight, January 17th at 6pm. Board members are expected to discuss the search plan for the new Superintendent.
