East Palestine Justice Claims State EPA Officials Don’t Know What They’re Doing in Ohio East Palestine

East Palestine, Ohio (WKBN) — Members of a group known as East Palestine Justice claim that state EPA officials overseeing cleanup there don’t know what they’re doing.

Bob Bowcock, called the group’s “water expert,” told reporters this afternoon that the process of spraying stream water from Leslie Lang and other waterways simply sends pollutants into the air. I told you there is…don’t clean the creek properly.

“I think the corrective response from the state and federal government has been below expectations and standards. because,” Bowcock said.

Ann Vogel, director of the Ohio EPA, told First News on Wednesday that the process of aerating water speeds up the process of breaking down toxic compounds that may still be in the water.
The material can then be aspirated from the creek and discarded.
