Ethanol for EV Directive – WOWO 1190 AM

A new survey of registered voters shows strong support for ethanol and renewable fuel standards while opposing liquid fuel bans and electric vehicle mandates. Morning Consult conducted research for the Renewable Fuels Institute. RFA President Jeff Cooper said, “As the new Congress settles down and considers the future of our country’s energy policy, these poll results are showing that Americans are more likely to use low-cost, low-carbon renewable fuels like ethanol. It shows a strong support for expansion.” The survey found that nearly 55% of respondents support renewable fuel standards, with only 15% expressing opposition to the program. On the other hand, 64% of his respondents had a favorable opinion of ethanol and only 18% said it was unfavorable. Half of respondents said they were not interested in buying or leasing an electric vehicle in the next three years, with 42% expressing interest. 66% oppose a ban on the sale of liquid fuel engines for cars.
