Fort Wayne Bowlers Gather as 103rd Annual City Tournament Begins – WOWO 1190 AM
FORT WAYNE, Indiana (WOWO): The Fort Wayne Metro Chapter of the United States Bowling Tournament kicked off 103.rd For the doubles and singles portion of the event, Saturday’s edition of the Open City Championship Tournament at MVP Lane in Fort Wayne. The tournament as a whole has him split into three divisions, with team events starting Sunday at Thunderbowl #1. Additionally, 99th The Fort Wayne Metro USBC Women’s City Championship is also underway, kicking off at MVP Lanes on Saturday.
Attendees at the event include Pro Bowlers Association Hall of Fame member Wes Malott, who won the doubles portion of the event last year, and his partner AJ Brunner, co-owner of MVP Lanes.
“It’s great to have all the bowlers from not just bowling here, but from other Fort Wayne Bowling Centers,” says MVP Owner/President Mark Johnston. All the time and effort the center and we put into the event.
The tournament’s fame is known by many throughout Indiana and is one of the most prestigious in Hoosier. “We have one of the biggest tournaments in Indiana,” declares Fort Wayne Metro USBC Association Manager Christina Weaver.
