Freeze warning early Monday, rain returning late Tuesday
Freeze warning until 9 a.m.
The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for central Ohio until early Monday morning as temperatures drop to near or just below freezing. Cover tender plants or bring them indoors.
As high pressure moves across the Ohio Valley, clear skies and light winds will result in a freezing cold early morning with readings in the low 30s and into the low 20s in the colder valleys.
The cool pattern will continue Monday with plenty of sunshine as high pressure moves eastward and toward the Atlantic coast. Clouds will increase later in the day, with readings in the 40s continuing into late Monday night.
A northern system moving across the Great Lakes will bring showers and breezy weather late Tuesday, but will weaken with the passage of a cold front early Wednesday, reinforcing a chilly weather pattern for late April.
Wednesday will be very windy and cool, but as high pressure moves down from Canada, we'll have clear skies and another chance of frost on Thursday morning.
A storm from the west will bring clouds later Friday, bringing some rain on and off over the weekend, but the weather will warm up with highs in the mid 70s.
