Man charged with fatal shooting in Elyria, Ohio apartment

ElyriaOhio (WJW) — A 21-year-old police man has been charged with murder after he said he shot and killed another man at the Elyria apartment complex in October.
a Lorain County A grand jury found 21-year-old Henry C. Spooner, 21, guilty of three counts of murder, two counts of assault, one count of possession of a weapon while disabled, tampering with evidence, and one count of mishandling a firearm in a car. indicted in Friday’s news release from Elyria Police.
Police, responding to reports of a shooting at the Midview Crossings apartment building on 1864 Middle Avenue just before 8 p.m., found the victim, identified as 24-year-old Jordan Flanigan, dead at the scene.
At the same time, Spooner arrived at the University Hospital’s Elyria Medical Center with a gunshot wound. An earlier release said officers at the time believed the shootings were related.
Elyria detectives launched an investigation and presented their findings to a grand jury in January.Spooner was arrested west lake Police on Wednesday, February 22, according to a release. He is being held at the Lorain County Jail on his $100,000 bail, court records show.
A future court date has not been set.
