Motorcycle Accident in Berlin District of Erie County

berlin townshipOhio (Wisconsin) – Two men were killed in a motorcycle crash while driving on state road 113 in the Berlin district.

The pair were heading west side by side shortly after 10 p.m. Friday, June 2, according to Ohio Highway Patrol. Police said the two men were thrown from their motorcycles after they collided. Neither driver was wearing a helmet.

Authorities identified the drivers as Jay Rookal, 48, of Monroeville, Ohio, and James Ogle, 53, of Collins, Ohio.

Both were taken directly to the funeral home. Officials say drugs appear to have played a role in the crash.
