cleveland (WJW) – Cleveland police are investigating a shooting that left nine people dead in a Cleveland warehouse district early Sunday morning.
of FOX 8 I-TEAM Around 2:30 a.m., a suspect opened fire on a mob at West 6th and Johnson Courthouses, injuring nine people. The suspect then left the scene.
Cleveland Police Chief Wayne Drummond confirmed at a press conference this afternoon that officers were already on the scene when the shooting occurred. They quickly intervened and provided assistance to the victims.
The police chief said the victims were seven men and two women, aged between 23 and 38.
One man was seriously injured, but the other victims were not in a life-threatening condition.
Police are currently looking for a black man who may have a gold grill in his mouth.
Meanwhile, Bobby George, owner of several downtown businesses including Burley House and Revol, has offered a $50,000 bounty for information leading to the arrest of the shooter.
Investigators are interviewing victims at MetroHealth Medical Center and continuing to review evidence and videos.

Rep. Shontelle Brown issued a statement regarding the shooting. It read, in part, as follows:
“Last night’s shooting in Cleveland is horrifying. My office is in contact with local authorities and monitoring the situation. Gun violence is devastating Northeast Ohio and Clevelands should be safe.This epidemic is tearing the foundations of our community apart and without significant legislative action. It will never end.”
