Norfolk Southern employee killed as train derails in Cleveland, Ohio

(WJW) – A Norfolk Southern employee died after a train collided with a dump truck in Cleveland.
The crash occurred early Tuesday morning near a railroad track passing on property owned by the Cleveland Cliffs Cleveland Works.
The employee’s death was confirmed to FOX 8 by a spokesperson for Cleveland Cliffs Inc.
Other details were not immediately available.
Norfolk Southern has come under fire after one of its trains derailed in East Palestine on February 3, causing a massive fire. Twenty vehicles were listed as carrying dangerous goods and approximately 50 vehicles were affected.
Since then, FOX 8 has learned that five Norfolk Southern railroad derailments within the Ohio state boundary in recent months have raised concerns in communities across the state.
