Richmond, Indiana (WDTN) — Officer Sheila Barton continues to fight, surrounded by friends and family, with occasional visits from her K-9 partner Breb.

According to court documents, Brev allegedly found drugs on the scooter of 47-year-old Phillip Lee. This was followed by a shootout, leaving Officer Barton in critical condition.
Burton was taken to Miami Valley Hospital, where he fought for his life for three weeks before being moved to his current location in Richmond.
Richmond Police Chief Michael Britt said in an earlier statement that K-9’s partner, Blev, is now living with another Richmond police officer.
