Ohio researchers explore Cayuse: New module released

On February 15, Ohio State researchers gained access to the first two modules of Cayuse, the university’s new electronic research management software (eRA).
These two modules are human ethics and external benefitsrepresents the first step in migrating from your current eRA system LEO. In the second half of this spring semester, Sponsored project module It debuts by replacing LEO’s service center, submission, and award processes.
Cayuse’s Sponsored Projects module consists of three sections:
- Proposal: Similar to the LEO cover letter, this section contains information for the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs to review before submitting to the sponsor.
- Project: A body of work represented by a proposal and an award.
- Awards: Provides a comprehensive overview of awards granted to projects through proposals. Provides an overview of awarded funds and updates to reflect their current value at the time of use.
ORSP began testing the proposal on the Cayuse system with faculty volunteers on February 27th.
