Taking place at the Clark County Fairgrounds in the Youth 4H Building from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday 4th May, this festival boasts participation from 11 esteemed wineries alongside a diverse array of vendors, food trucks, and live musical performances. It’s an unparalleled opportunity to savor the widest selection of Ohio wines all in one location.

Advance tickets are available online for $32, with door tickets priced at $37. For those abstaining from alcohol, non-drinker tickets are priced at $12 each. Plus, the first 200 visitors will receive a complimentary Ohio Winery poster. All tasting tickets come complete with a complimentary six-bottle wine tote and souvenir glass.

Donniella Winchell, Executive Director of the Ohio Wine Producers Association, describes the event as not only a showcase for wines from across the state but also a gateway to a full day of enjoyment. Attendees can leisurely sample wines from various regions, including local favorites like Brandeberry Winery and Dragonfly Vineyard and Wine Cellar. With bottles available for purchase, there’s ample opportunity to discover new favorites.

One of the highlights of this year’s festival is the introduction of cider, appealing to a younger demographic and expanding the festival’s reach. Attendees will also have the chance to meet the passionate winery owners, adding a personal touch to the tasting experience.

For those seeking an elevated experience, a VIP package is available for $45 in advance. This exclusive offer includes six additional tastings of gold medal-winning wines, access to a reserved area with light snacks, a VIP lanyard, a wine and food pairing wheel, and the chance to win a wine-themed gift basket valued at $100.

Beyond wine tastings, attendees can explore a variety of vendors offering artisan crafts, snacks, and wine-related products. Food trucks from Young’s Jersey Dairy and Cate’s Steakhouse Catering will be on-site to satisfy appetites, while live music sets the ambiance with performances by Jim Kelly and Weston Papp.

Returning to Springfield, Donniella Winchell commends the warm reception and excellent facilities provided by the Clark County Fairgrounds. It’s a testament to the community’s enthusiasm for hosting this premier wine event, drawing visitors from across the state.
