Struthers Ohio native Anthony Carson sentenced to death overdose

STRATHERS, Ohio (WKBN) – A Struthers man was sentenced Wednesday in the Mahoning County Common Petitions Court in the April 2021 overdose death of a man in a Polish township.

Anthony Carson was sentenced to three years in prison after being convicted of corrupting others with drugs, a third-degree felony. Fifth-degree felony counts for possession of cocaine and possession of fentanyl.

In exchange for his plea, the charges of manslaughter and reckless murder were dropped.

Carson indicted by a grand jury in March For his role in the overdose death of Victor Pappas, 31, of Poland Township.
