Summer on the Scioto: Exciting Free Events Lined Up in Downtown Columbus

Summer festivities are in full swing along the Scioto River in Downtown Columbus, with a lineup of exciting free events scheduled throughout the season.

Downtown Columbus Inc. has unveiled an enticing schedule of community programming events along the Scioto River. From live music performances to kayaking adventures and fountain activities, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

One of the highlights of the program is the reopening of the Scioto Mile Fountain, which debuted over Memorial Day weekend after a year of renovations. For more details on all the events, visit the official website.

    • Mondays and Thursdays from June 3 to Aug. 12 (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.)

  • Kayak Days
    • July 13 and Aug. 10 (1 p.m. to 5 p.m.)
