“We need the public’s help” shooting incident leaves 5 victims

EUCLID, Ohio (WJW) — The Euclid Police Department says it is investigating a shooting at 3:50 a.m. Saturday that left multiple gunshots and five people injured at a private business.

“There may be multiple shooters involved. We need the public’s help,” Euclid Police Chief Scott Meyer said. I-Team. “Cellphone video, witnesses who witnessed the shooting. Anyone with this information or video is encouraged to contact detectives.”

Police said the shooting occurred during a large “social gathering” at a private business in the 19500 block of St. Clair Avenue.

One of the victims was shot and hit by a car, Meyer said. Some victims reportedly do not cooperate with police.

“We need cooperation to find those responsible,” Meyer said.

Police also said five adults were transported by ambulance to area hospitals for treatment, four of them suffering from gunshot wounds. One other person was injured in the incident.

“Other injured persons may have left the scene before police arrived,” Meyer said.

The chief added that police know where the shooting took place. He said there had been complaints there in the past and police were monitoring the scene.

Euclid police said anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact the Euclid Police Department at 216-731-1234 or the Detective Bureau at 216-289-8505.

Police said the victim did not have life-threatening injuries and no arrests were made.
