Wintersville Receives Portable Traffic Light Subsidy
Wintersville, Ohio (WTRF) — The Village of Wintersville just received a grant to support multiple departments.
A $40,000 grant from the Ohio Department of Workers’ Compensation will support the development of portable traffic lights.
This traffic light will benefit a variety of agencies, including police, fire and road workers.
Village manager Jesse Koseghi said the new unit will further enhance safety for workers on the road.
“It’s going to keep cops and callers off the streets. It’s all automatic, solar-backed, it works. You can charge it on Friday and it will run for five or six days, 10 hours a day. Mobile units are used for transportation.” Yes, and there are a total of four lights: two in one direction and two in the other.”
