Law enforcement officers face all sorts of threats. But in Massachusetts, they never saw this coming.
They say a 55-year-old woman has weaponized bees in an attempt to stop evictions.
Investigators say the winged weapons were piled up in the trailer’s hive.
“The bees came out, unleashed, swarmed, got angry and started stinging everyone there,” said Sheriff Nick Koch.
Hundreds of bees swarmed and began stinging, sheriff’s deputies said, prompting fears of a possible allergic reaction.
A 55-year-old woman managed to zip up her beekeeper’s suit in the chaos but was arrested by deputies. Her investigators say she didn’t know the tenant, but has been known to protest her eviction.
Thanks to quick action, the woman was quickly arrested before anyone was seriously injured.
