YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Youngstown State University held a homecoming parade on Saturday.
Marching bands, members of Greek Life, and more marched past the stadium and down Fifth Avenue.
The floats entered the competition. The first place winner will receive $3,000. This year’s winner was he was a member of YSU’s hip-hop teams Theta Chi and Black Ice.
The group worked together to perform a dance and create penguin floats. Theta Chi member Jake Stewart said everyone was excited to put the money to good use.
“We do a lot of work around the community, so hopefully it will benefit,” Stewart said.
Stewart said the money would help fund the military.
