Short Chase Suffers Life-Threatening Injury to Biker – WOWO 92.3 FM | 1190AM

FORT WAYNE, Indiana (WOWO) – A man’s life is in danger after an early morning motorcycle accident in Fort Wayne.

At approximately 12:12 a.m., Fort Wayne police officers attempted to stop a motorcyclist who ran a red light near State Boulevard and Wells Street. The motorbike driver got away, but the chase continued for a short time. However, during the chase the rider lost control of his bike and collided near North Side Drive and Glazier Avenue.

Emergency services immediately provided help and transported the man with life-threatening injuries to a local hospital. The motorcycle driver was not wearing a helmet.

The Fatal Accident Team (FACT) was called to investigate the scene. Northside Drive was closed between Kenwood Avenue and Vance Avenue for further inspection.
