Ohio local police have released an update on a victim who was beaten to a critical condition by two men accused of theft.

Update: The victim of the beating has been discharged from the hospital, according to local police.

Two Ohio Valley men have been arrested on suspicion of putting a man in critical condition.

Sherman Ledger, 22, of Berea, and Richard West III, 47, of Berea, have been charged with felony, assault, kidnapping and aggravated robbery, police said.

Police said they received a call that a 24-year-old man was seriously injured and taken to a local medical facility.

Officers spoke with the victims and said Ledger and West broke into their home, beat them and robbed them. The victim said he was stripped naked, beaten with several objects and left in the house.

The victim was taken to WVU Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Police said further investigation into the incident is underway, with possible further arrests and charges.
