Kaia Thomas died after being found unresponsive, police say
Police confirmed to 10TV that six-month-old Ky’air Thomas was pronounced dead just before midnight on Saturday.

An autopsy will be conducted on Monday, police said. Additional details regarding Ky’air’s death were not immediately available.
In December 2022, Ky’air and his brother Kason were kidnapped from the Short North Arts District.
Police say the boys’ mother drove into a Donato’s Pizza on North High Street to take DoorDash orders and left the car unlocked with the twins in it.
Nala Jackson, 24, was inside the restaurant when her mother entered. Jackson exited the restaurant’s side door and got into his mother’s car, police said.
Ky’air was found safe at Dayton International Airport hours after being abducted. Kason was found safe in Indianapolis a few days later. Jackson was arrested and charged in connection with the kidnapping.
The family released the following statement on Sunday night.
“Tonight we are living a nightmare life with our community in less than a month. I am asking God, ‘Lord why Kaiail?
I once again ask the community to have compassion and empathy as we hold up our family Kasson and his mother Wilhemnia, Lashes, my son and twin father in prayer. ”
