Notable players associated with the Ohio Buckeyes

Kansas City, Missouri (WCMH) — Over the next three days, hundreds of college football players will make their dreams come true when their names are called to become members of an NFL franchise.

The NFL Draft begins Thursday night, once again with a wide selection of players from Ohio colleges.

Among these players are eight former Ohio Buckeyes, including three who will be selected in the first round. At quarterback he is CJ Stroud, offensively his lineman Paris Johnson Jr., and at receiver Jackson Smith-Nigba.

A number of other former Buckeyes and other Ohio school players are expected to be recruited between Thursday and Saturday, with more signed as undrafted free agents in the days to come. Of over 300 prospects in the NFL Draft, more than a dozen players from nearly six colleges in Ohio are in the prospect pool.
