Enjoy free ice cream this summer with local leaders, the Cleveland Fires

Cleveland (WJW) – Cleveland residents can enjoy free treats this summer. Cleveland Fire DepartmentIce Cream Social Open House.

The four free ice cream events will begin on June 24 from 11am to 3pm at 41 Cleveland Fire Station, 3090 East 116th Street, next to Luke Easter Park.

The Ice Cream Social will set up a table with fire safety tips and safety squad recruitment information. The event will feature elected officials, Mayor Justin M. Bibb, as well as representatives from City Dogs, Cleveland EMS, Cleveland Water, Cleveland Public Power, Red Cross and Cleveland Public Library.

Further events this summer:

  • July 15: 11am-3pm, Fire Station 20, 3765 Pearl Rd.
  • July 29: 11am-3pm, Fire Station 22, 7300 Superior Ave.
  • August 5: 11am-3pm, Fire Station 43, 4525 Rocky River Dr.

“Our Ice Cream Social is a great opportunity for local residents to meet Cleveland firefighters in a non-emergency setting,” said Cleveland Fire Chief Anthony Luke. “Kids can ride a fire engine, tour the fire station, and enjoy free burgers, hot dogs, and delicious ice cream.”

According to the Cleveland Fire Department, these ice cream social events were made possible by donations from MetroHealth. This ice cream was also donated by Pierre’s and Honey Hut.
