Granville’s mother runs a business that helps military spouses

Moving every few years makes it difficult for military spouses to maintain a stable career. This Granville entrepreneur has been changing that for over a decade.

GRANVILLE, Ohio — More employers across the country are requiring workers to return to the office after many enjoy the flexibility of working from home.

Long before this was a new concept to many, a mother and military spouse in central Ohio started a business to help others alike.

10TV recently visited her home office in Granville. R. Riveter.

“It’s really about meeting the needs of the modern woman,” said Lisa Bradley.

Bradley, a military spouse, said they moved every two to three years. After 13 moves, they landed at Granville.

Knowing there were others like her, she decided to take matters into her own hands when it came to maintaining a stable career.

“Eleven years ago, my co-founder and I said, ‘If we’re going to get something, we’ve got to build it.’ We started with the big idea that we could provide an income for military spouses.”

Bradley explained how the work-from-home opportunity benefits military spouses.

“We have materials sent to us and we cut them into kits and send them to military spouses across the country. You can do it at home.”

It not only provides stability, but also flexibility.

“And that’s the whole idea… being able to have a family and being there for them and having the flexibility to do what you need to do as a parent who needs to throw everything away,” Bradley said. said. She wants to take that concept and make it applicable to a wider group of women across the country. ”
