Red Sox end Twins' winning streak at 12

Sedan Rafaela and Rafael Devers hit two-run homers and the Boston Red Sox beat the Minnesota Twins 9-2 on Sunday afternoon in Minneapolis.

Vaughn Grissom and Dominic Smith hit two-run doubles for Boston, avoiding a three-game losing streak in the final game of the series. Rob Refsnyder had an RBI double.

Ryan Jeffers hit a solo home run for the Twins, ending their winning streak at 12. Trevor Larnach had 2 hits and 1 RBI in 4 at bats.

It was Minnesota's first loss since April 21, when they lost at home to the Detroit Tigers. The 12-game winning streak was the Twins' longest streak since their franchise-best 15-game winning streak in 1991.

Red Sox left-hander Brennan Bernardino (1-1) got the win out of the bullpen with the final two outs of the fifth inning. Minnesota starting pitcher Joe Ryan (1-2) allowed four hits and three runs in six innings.

Rays 7, Mets 6 (10 times)

Johnny DeLuca's walk-off home run and overtime two-run triple gave Tampa Bay the win and the series over New York in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Jake Diekman (1 win, 1 loss) allowed two runs (one earned) on one hit in extra innings against New York, which has lost three straight and five of its past seven games. In the top of the 10th inning, Brandon Nimmo reached on a missed catch by first baseman Yandy Diaz and Harrison Bader scored, giving the Mets a 6-5 lead.

The Rays tied the score at 5-5 in the 9th inning when Randy Arozarena hit a two-out solo home run to left-center field. Rays relief pitcher Erasmo Ramirez (1-0) earned the victory.

Dodgers 5, Braves 1

Shohei Ohtani hit two home runs, Teoscar Hernandez also hit a bat, and left-hander James Paxton took the mound in the seventh inning, ending Los Angeles' three-game winning streak against Atlanta.

Paxton (4-0) allowed five hits, one run, three strikeouts, and two walks in 6 2/3 innings.

Marcell Ozuna hit a home run and Max Fried (2-1) allowed four runs on four hits in seven innings after pitching a shutout and six hitless innings in his previous two starts.

Aaron Judge hit a home run a day after being ejected for the first time in his career. Oswaldo Cabrera added two hits and one RBI. Yankees starting pitcher Nestor Cortez pitched 6 1/3 innings, allowing three hits and two runs, with nine strikeouts, and Victor Gonzalez (2-1) got the win in relief.

Detroit starting pitcher Tarik Skubal recorded a career-high 12 strikeouts while allowing six hits and two runs over six innings. Spencer Torkelson led the Tigers' offense with two doubles and an RBI. Detroit's No. 2 pitcher Shelby Miller (3 wins, 4 losses) suffered the loss.

Nationals 11, Blue Jays 8

Host Washington defeated Toronto after Eddie Rosario's two-run homer broke an 8-8 tie in the seventh inning.

Luis Garcia Jr. had four hits, including a home run, and four RBIs, while Jesse Winker had a three-run home run and a double for the Nationals, who took two of three games from Toronto.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit a grand slam for the Blue Jays, who have lost four of their past five. Alec Manoah, making his first major league start since August of last year, fell behind 6-1 but was unable to protect it. He pitched four innings, allowing seven runs (six earned) on six hits.

Jose Ramirez broke a slump with a go-ahead two-run homer in the sixth inning, and two innings later Josh Naylor's homer scored a run as Cleveland traveled to Los Angeles.

Ramirez, who had the misfortune of going 0-for-19, smashed the 10th pitch of his at-bat against Los Angeles starting pitcher Griffin Canning (1-4) well over the wall in right-center field, giving Cleveland a 2-1 lead. . It was Ramirez's sixth home run of the season.

Nathaniel Rowe hit an RBI homer in the 10th inning to lead visiting Texas to a victory over Kansas City.

The Rangers responded with singles in the 8th and 9th innings to tie the score at 2-2. With one out in the top of the 10th inning, Lowe delivered a 1-2 pitch to center field, and Leody Taveras hit the go-ahead hit, clinching a come-from-behind victory.

The Royals got extra base hits on their first four hits against Texas starting pitcher Jon Gray, taking a 2-0 lead. In the first inning, Bobby Witt Jr. tripled and scored on Vinny Pasquantino's sacrifice fly to take the lead. With two outs in the third inning, Witt and Pasquantino hit back-to-back doubles.

White Sox 5, Cardinals 1

Paul DeJong had two doubles, two RBIs, and one RBI as visiting Chicago defeated St. Louis against his old team.

Eloy Jimenez hit a solo home run and Brian Ramos scored his first career RBI for the White Sox, who won two out of three games and won their second series of the season.

Willson Contreras hit a solo home run for the Cardinals, but the Cardinals lost for the fourth time in five games while recording just four hits.

Cubs 5, Brewers 0

Niko Hoerner broke a scoreless stalemate with a three-run blast in the fifth inning, and Javier Assad pitched a shutout in the sixth inning to give Chicago a win over Milwaukee.

Nick Gordon hit two singles, a double and a home run, driving in three runs and scoring two runs, helping Miami avoid an Interleague Series sweep at the hands of host Oakland.

Kramer (3 wins, 2 losses) was the latest Orioles pitcher to give up on the anemic Cincinnati offensive line, allowing only a sharp single in the fifth inning and a walk after that, earning his third consecutive starting win. Baltimore's Anthony Santander hit his third career grand slam, had three hits and five RBIs, and Jordan Westberg and Ryan McKenna added home runs.

Bryce Harper hit a three-run home run and JT Realmuto had three hits, leading Philadelphia to a victory over visiting San Francisco.

Alec Bohm hit a double in the seventh inning, extending the Phillies' hitting streak to 18 games. The Phillies have won five straight games and are 9-1 in their last 10 games. Philadelphia has won the first three games of a four-game series and remains in first place. The best record in baseball history, 24 wins and 11 losses.

Tyro Estrada hit a two-run home run for the Giants, who have lost five of their past six games. San Francisco ace Logan Webb (3 wins, 3 losses) allowed five runs (four earned) and six hits in four innings.
