The crew responds to the Mercer County fire.residents without electricity

ROCKFORD, Ohio (WDTN) — Several departments are responding to the Rockford building fire Wednesday morning.

The fire broke out at a Main Street business at 1:45 am on Wednesday, March 1, according to Mayor Amy Joseph. .

The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office is asking people to avoid the streets and routes to and from Rockford at this time.

Joseph said the village is currently without power and residents are being asked to conserve water.

According to AES Ohio’s blackout map, 1,053 customers are without power in the Rockford area.
